Time

Hey all,

Sorry it has taken so long to post. Time has really flown by. I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving already! We have a lot to be thankful for. Well, not a whole lot has gone on since our last post. Our typical day usually consists of waking up, going to school, coming home, eating dinner, and going to bed. Ben and I really enjoy our evenings together. It's a time where we can just relax, watch some tv, talk about life, and just be together. Well, Ben officially got a snow machine. It is a 2010 Polaris Trail Touring. It hasn't arrived yet, but believe me....we are BOTH excited to get it! However, yesterday and today it has started raining and a lot of the snow is leaving us. The snow machine is being delivered to St. Mary's which is about 20 miles from Mountain Village. We need snow to get the snow machine from St. Mary's to Mountain. So please pray for snow! :) We finally have meat. Ben and I kind of experienced what it would be like to be a vegetarian. No offense Sarah or Bren, but we aren't big fans. So, we put in a meat order and about a week ago we received 60 lbs. of yummy meat! As I type this Ben is preparing his famous ribs. We don't have a smoker, but we do have a working oven. Regardless, they will be delicious!

This week is Thanksgiving week so we only have 2 1/2 days of school. On Wednesday the kids dismiss around 11:00 and go home and get their family's and return for a Thanksgiving Feast. The community comes to the school to have a Thanksgiving meal. I'm really excited for this day. As far as Ben and I's Thanksgiving plans. Well, we are going to two separate Thanksgivings. We were invited to two separate teacher Thanksgivings, so we are going to both. :) It almost feels like we are back home and are going to both families.

We will be coming back to the Midwest from the 20th to the 30th of December. We are SO excited to see low prices, eat out, see friends and family! We will be going back and forth from Minnesota to South Dakota, so if you want to hang. Give us a ring. Our house here in Mountain is starting to look more like Christmas thanks to both sides of our family. Thank you!

My kids have been behaving pretty well these last couple of weeks. There are some days where I get tears in my eyes because I'm so proud of them. The first day of school they did not know their letters or letter sounds and the majority of them do now. They have started to decode words and are reading small books. They go nuts when they see our star words (the, is, was, etc) If I'm reading a big book to them they will shout out, "Teacher Teacher star word." I can't help but smile.

That's all for now. We'll try to be more prompt with our next post!

Much love,
The Harveys
